Chapter 1. Flight to Munich!

Ich bin hier in Muenchen!! Yes finally after a horribly long flight. It felt like i was on the train to Kuala Lumpur again. Sorry that this post came late, haven slept for 24 hours when i arrived, had intially wanted to post this after i finished uploading the pictures from my camera, but the transfer took a while so i thought i should try snuggling in the bed. You know the rest of the story =). Anyway! i want to thank all of you who took the effort to wake up sooooo early in the morning to send me off!! i really really appreciate it!! Danke Schone! Departure
My adventure officially began, the moment i stepped across the departure gate in Singapore. I am on my own.(still am) Trudging along with 2 bags and a SLR in hand wasn't the most convenient thing to do. didn't have much time left before boarding, thus headed straight to "boarding room" It was located right at the edge of Changi airport. turned out that i was still early, so i whipped out my Telephoto lens and started shooting at the parked planes. Got this beautiful shot of Singapore airlines with the sun rising.

Flight out of singapore
The first flight was pretty short, so i decided to take the window seat, silently hoping some chio bu will turn up, but alas! my chio bu turned out to be a balding strange Thai guy who silently sneaked up while i was busy looking out of the window. Gosh i can't tell how strange this guy is. On the flight whenever i peered out of the window, he would bend towards the window and do the same thing! when i put down my tray table, he will put it down too! when i put it back up, he followed! Then i noticed this cup holder thing on the tray, pulled it out and he copied me again!! When the flight is finally over, while he was on the aisle, he turned back and winked at me!!! YUCKS! i didn't dare take a photo of him, so if you want to imagine, hes a tanned fat and balding guy. and guess whats the first thing i ate on the plane!? A SAUSAGE!! haha weide, since you're such a fan, i took a picture JUST FOR YOU! How about the view out of the window? i couldn't stop taking photos till the breakfast came. Kinda drained my camera, but its okay cos i got a spare. haha.

Arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport
Body pumped with adrenaline from all the excitement, i have arrived at the Bangkok international, the one which was held hostage by the friendly Thai people in Yellow. Lugging my bags and cameras, yes cameras, i decided to find out what gate i need to go to. Found it pretty easily on the departure screen, then i headed straight to the boarding room. My nalgene bottle was filled with water at this point. Standing before the metal detectors was this table, where we need to dispose all fluids. On the table was this instruction that says "please show your fluid to the officer" so i thought opening up the bottle will do. The officer who didn't speak English saw and immediately pointed to a bin behind her. I gave her a really stunted look. NO FREAKING WAY I AM THROWING MY NALGENE BOTTLE AWAY, can't turn back can't move forward, i decided to just drink it. halfway through, another officer turned up and pointed to another direction. it was a water disposal bin. What an idiot. After scanning my bags and pulling out my belt, i stood proudly on the other side of the detector. Then i realised that i have another 4 hours to go and was stuck in a section without shops. So i went back pretending to look for toilet cause there were none in sight. so she pointed to the one on the outside. Luckily there was an exit, but i needed to go through the scans again. Troublesome. Went out still not feeling hungry because of the adrenaline, i decided i should have a meal so i can grow fat. So i changed my 10 sing dollars into baht. Went to the burger king and realised that i could only afford the burger king fish meal. What the hell right! Bo bian, bought that and stuffed it down my throat. Was the longest BK meal i had. Headed to the boarding room after that. Was still one of the earlier ones to reach. Slowly but surely, more and more Angmohs thronged in.

Second Flight to Munich international
I stopped hoping for another chio bu, fearing that it turned out like earlier. Turned out to be a german couple next to me. Seated next to me was the guy, we STARTED chatting in german. Well not exactly because i switched back to English after like 4 sentences and a awkward "haha". BUT for the sake of practising, and the whole main idea of coming here to learn is such that i can use it everyday to survive. So i tried to speak occasionally in german, which he could understand! although with the few times of "wie bitte?" (thats the german ways of "i'm sorry can you repeat yourself) It was not that i couldn't pronounce, it was just that i was too soft, didn't want the other germans in front to hear my broken german. He gave me his name card and on it was this picture, the Ulm Kirche (church of Ulm) and next to it was a courthouse. Apparently he works at the courthouse, so i asked if he was a lawyer. Turned out hes a JUDGE!! OMG. He was really friendly, made the long flight bearable. Took a photo with him after we landed. Before that, when we first stepped out of the plane, there was a ROAD BLOCK AT THE TRAVELATOR. Polizei was stopping all non germans, so i was stopped as well. According to my judge friend, it was the first time he saw something like that as well. Then was stopped again at the Custom checks. Idiots.
