My New Bicycle!

After the eventful weekend to Neuschwanstein and Passau, i decided to chill for a little while. Been exhausted with all the traveling. Quite an uneventful week, thus not much updates. Mainly going straight home after school, then cook myself a nice dinner and chat a bit before sleeping. Bidded farewell to my 500 euro bill =(. Don't think i will be seeing another one anytime soon. Went Pinakothek on Thursday. Was suppose to be a Tandem School event, but only a few turn up. Currently there is an IKEA exhibition over at Pinakothek der Modern, thus being an Ikea person, i paid the 6 eurs for the entrance fee, which is really stupid since the rest of the group which came later, didn't need to pay a single cent since they're a group O_o. Doesn;t make sense huh, so are many other things in Germany. I personally didn;t quite understand most of the art pieces, like one gigantic room with 2 strings running down from the ceiling to the floor. Or some scribbles by pencils which looked like works of an angry 3 year old. Or pieces of metals collected from an accident site and clumped together. there was also another one with a pair of parallel lines on a piece of white papar. Then again, arts is about perspective. No logic required. Then there was a photography section, and seriously, i think i will do a better job. Went together with Maria and the rest of the Tandem group for a drink at a Cafe near the museum till evening, before heading home for dinner.

On friday, decided to check out if there are any bicycle deals at the Einkaufszentrum, gave up searching on Ebay. One thing i learnt, the bidding gets active only 30 seconds before the bid closes. The numbers literally jumped 30 eurs per refresh. Plus with all the transfer and shipping costs, i thought its not worth the trouble. Also i realised that the item that will be shipped (or sent) over is in parts, meaning i have to bring it to a bike shop to fix it all up, meaning extra costs. So headed back to Einkaufszentrum. Saw a bike there with pretty good parts costing less than what other 2nd shops would sell. plus it comes with speedo and lights and bell. So saved quite abit. Infact the bike cost 1000 eur when new. Cycling at night without the lights would attract police. They have road blocks for cyclists here. i saw one before, 4 police cars and 12 officers standing by the bike lane. Strange huh. Anyway, bought it and cycled all the way back home. Not the best looking bike around, but i think its just because of the extended handled bar, which i asked the shop i bought from if it could be removed, and he said for a 10 eur fee. What an idiot. Did i mention that the weather was shitty? it was drizzling and the sun wasn't shining, wind was pretty strong. Bike paths were wet and i got lost. took a wrong turn and headed north instead of south. Realised after i stopped at the train station to check out their map. Thank god. Didn;t have any gloves with me and wearing only a windbreaker, it was a dreadful trip home. Took more than an hour to find my way back, cold and wet but no sweat! On the way back played around with my speedo meter and realised that the previous owner had done 24,000 km on it. MY GOD. He did 5 tour de France on that or wad!? The cyclists here really speed on the bicycle paths. So if you even come here, avoid stepping into the bike lanes or risk being run over while killing the cyclist at the same time. Went for another ride on saturday, weather was back to cool and sunny. It felt like a crime staying at home on such fine weather, so headed out without any plan. Cycled along the Isar river all the to english garden, about 10km away. The average speed of cyclists here is about 25km/h. Its pretty fast. Found a shop named Singapur. It was a Massage salon offering Malay style massage, O_o. 2 hours of fast riding later, i was back home. Broke no sweat for the entire journey, only fluid coming out from me was from my nose. covered a total distance of 60km in these two days. 399 more of such trips and i will hit the 24000 mark.
